Go ahead...Declare it to the Heavenlies!!!

It was a cold, wet October night when I arrived at the prayer room to talk to the 8 young adults present about the power of declaring to the heavenlies. The agenda that was given to me showed that I was to instruct on, impart and activate prophetic prayer with those that were present, and then we were to go out and do some prophetic evangelism.

Outside...the raindrops continued to fall, lessening our hopes of street ministry. Inside...we eventually got over the disappointment, and as the fire of the Holy Spirit increased more and more so did the group present and we ended up with about 20 hungry young adults!!! By the time the evening was over, we had prophesied over one another declared God's words over Rochester. I sensed in my spirit that God had granted breakthrough that night to the group as a whole and there was a commissioning to continue to pray prophetically for our city!

So, is God calling you to pray and stand in the gap for Rochester and New York? What could you do about it? After all, you are only 1 person and can't do much...right? WRONG!!!

I would like to remind all of you the Scripture that we studied on that night. Ephesians 3:10 says "to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places"

Did you get that? We the church (that's you and me) are to declare to the powers in the heavenly places, the manifold wisdom of God. How do you do that? Easy. As you pray for Rochester or a region, just ask God to speak to you His thoughts. Then you declare God's thoughts with mountain-moving faith! As we release the powerful prayer decrees, it goes forth like explosions in the spiritual realm pushing back the powers of darkness and establishing God's will over an area. What happens next is that God's will is established in the spiritual realm first, and then it manifests itself into the natural realm where it could be seen. (To understand this more, read about Jesus cursing the fig tree.)

So next time you see something going on in the city, state, or region that disapoints you, rather than speaking your disapointment out loud, go to prayer about it and ask the Lord for His thoughts. As God speaks...go ahead and DECLARE IT TO THE HEAVENLIES!!! :-)
